Data Export and Hosting

1. How to get a copy of your data
Email support@simplegantt.net from the email address of your Simple Gantt account, with the subject “Data export”. We send you a complete export within 7 days, free of charge. If the request comes from a different address, we’ll ask you to confirm it from your account email first, to protect your data.
You can ask at any time, as often as you need, including on the free plan and before you delete your account.
2. What the export contains

Not included: data about how our service runs internally, such as security logs and aggregated analytics. It isn’t needed to move your work elsewhere.
3. Formats
- JSON (UTF-8): one file with everything listed above, in a structured, machine-readable format any developer or import tool can read.
- CSV on request: one row per task (project, task, start, end, milestone, status, completed, assignees, depends on, description), ready for Excel or Google Sheets.
- Dates are in ISO 8601 (
YYYY-MM-DD), identifiers are UUIDs, so tasks, members and dependencies stay linked.

4. Switching to another tool
- No notice period: ask for your export whenever you decide to switch.
- We deliver the export within 7 days, well within the maximum 30-day transition period.
- Your account and data stay available for at least 30 more days after the export, so you can check the move worked, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- After that, or when you delete your account, all your data is erased (backups within 7 days).
- There are no switching or data export charges.

Simple Gantt is operated from Poland under EU law. Because our main infrastructure is run by US companies, it is also subject to US law. If we receive a request from an authority outside the EU to access your data, we will disclose it only where an international agreement or EU law requires it, will limit it to what is strictly necessary, and will tell you about it unless the law forbids us. Transfers of personal data are covered by the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
